PROPOSED LOCATION AT
TAMAN BOTANI NEGARA,SHAH ALAM
RESEARCHING ELEMENTS
MAIN AND SUB-ACTIVITIES
For this final project, we had been Taman Botani Negara,Shah Alam before. From the above pictures, you can know where is the proposed location, what is the elements and the activities for the researcher, Olivia. i named this cocoon as SEED.
As we know, Dahlia is the national flower of Mexico. The feel of dignity and elegance are the language of Dahlia. Dahlia needs to grow in cool and refreshing weather so the SEED chosen to be built beside the lake. The concept of SEED mimics the gradient of cocoon space from the biggest to the smallest. The biggest space is the main activity which is researching lab. The concept of the walls used the repetition's design variation. This cocoon's design organisation is linear because the space showed like a line. The roof design was shape like a petal and showed a bit slanted, so it allows the water to flow down, just like a real petal. For researching lab, there had 10 windows. The windows also used the gradient design concept. The function of the windows are letting the sunlight come in to brighten up the lab and save electricity.
