Understanding sensory stimulation of people in human environments is vital to designing an interior space. The senses play critical roles in human experience and the memories and emotions tied to it. In design, exploration which is associated to sensory experience attracts customers and stimulates strong, positive, and distinctive impression across all five senses. In this case multiple sensory cues are found in an interior of an commercial and hospitality spaces including layout, lighting, interior fixtures and furnishings, and air quality such as fragrance, temperature and etc. All contribute and complement each other in designing the complexity of a functional interior space.

The site is the transition phase of the design process, developing from the subject of design issue to the crafting of your design program and spaces. Ruang by Think City is a multipurpose community space in downtown KL. This airy, flexible space located on the 2nd floor of the handsome Art Deco OCBC Building in historic downtown Kuala Lumpur is ideal for commercial rental including for product launches, educational seminars, lectures, photo shoots, and other corporate events. Before any project can take place, we need to understand the site condition thoroughly; internally and architecturally

To select a concept stay approach based on your research and pair them with a suitable ‘hybrid – play services’ opportunity. Study the selected approach and suggest potential design direction to facilitate the branding and design of the proposed HOSPITALITY project. Consider the name of the project and logo design. Student will need to identify what you are designing and begin to develop your programme narrative. Fundamental to the development of your brief, is an understanding of the relationship between conceptual approach that you have begun to explore and functional purpose of your proposals (Final Project). This in turn must be contextualised within the given site (Project 1)
